Avoiding chocolate

Avoiding chocolate….

This substantial,  steep site situated close to chocolate box and conservation territory,
was ripe for development once a humble post-war bungalow had been swept away.

Our clients demanded a radical approach to the design to form a contemporary home,
bespoke to their environmental concerns, family life style and interests.

Nearing external completion the view from road level up to the front facade.

This striking design was the product of this two-way process and all parties, including the contractor,
are proud of the result and the rare opportunity to use a genuinely modern approach that
avoids contemporary pastiche.

A view to the rear facade taken from the elevated rear garden adjacent to the new studio.
